Family 1st plans caroling
      Family First Campaign, Emmanuel Episcopal Church and The Family Center are sponsoring a Christmas Cookie Exchange and Caroling on Thursday night from 5:30 to 7:30. Each family who registers is asked to bring two-dozen cookies (no nuts, please).

      Long-time local pharmacist Ed Lundberg of Emporium recently completed his Continuing Pharmacy Education studies, which certify him to continue in the profession for two more years. Lundberg, who has served for more than 55 years at Devlund Pharmacy, Burklund Pharmacy and Lundberg Pharmacy, has long been active in community affairs.

      held its secoond annual Christmas Extravaganza, with more than 35 vendors offering holiday shoppers everything from maple products to antiques. There were also activities for children, as well as guided tours of the Masonic Hall.

Course on telescopes planned
      Registration is open for a basic telescope instructional course on April 21. After an instructional session indoors, students will travel to Cherry Springs for an evening telescope session. Indoor instruction is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Potter County Education Council Office, 35 Main Street, Galeton.
