Local Kids Perform On National Radio

Cameron Woodruff, 15, and Coriander Woodruff, 11,performed in an audio drama that aired live on National Public Radio. They participated in the week-long National Audio Theater Workshop held in West Plains, Missouri.

Coriander and Cameron met audio drama workers, such as Barbara Rosenblat who played Mrs. Medlock in The Secret Garden on Broadway, William Dufris, who plays the voice of Bob the Builder and Butch D'Ambrosio who has written for MAD magazine for 18 years. Cameron met his hero, Tom Lopez of www.zbs.org , author of the Ruby the Galactic Gumshoe and the Jack Flanders series.

They worked with five other youths, under the guidance of NPR's Frank Stasio, from "All Things Considered."

They preated by practicing for the live broadcast, which was on Friday, June 23.
