Park Plans 'Four Seasons In God's Country Program A special program is planned at Sinnemahoning State Park today (Saturday, July 29) at 8:30 p.m. "Four Seasons in God's Country"will be presented by Dick Hribar. Dick has lived in Potter County most of his adult life, enjoying all outdoor sports. He has been fortunate to guide in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Texas and Wyoming, working with youth conservation groups and hunter safety. His 30 years as a special education instructor, helps with his current fly-fishing instruction and outdoor/photography lectures. Dick delights in "giving back", sharing his life, adventures and knowledge in programs tailor-made for each audience. You'll appreciate and enjoy the wonderful world of nature through his slide presentation. For more information on the program, call the park office at (814) 647-8401. Also this weekend, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. today (Saturday) wetlands by CanoeJoin the park naturalists at the boat launch area for a relaxing evening paddle on the lake. Cruise quietly along the shores and wetland areas as we look at some of the plant and animal species that depend upon these areas. The excursion will conclude with a look at the park's resident bald eagles nest site, and hopefully, a glimpse of these magnificent birds. Novices are welcome: some basic canoe and water safety instruction will precede the paddle. Fees will be determined at a later date. For more information, please call the park office.
