Julia Faye Sevinsky
Julia Faye Sevinsky, 84, of Laurelwood Court, Emporium, died Sunday, July 30, 2006 in her home.
Born May 12, 1922 in Brockway, she was the daughter of Leslie and Anna Sheley.
On Jan. 2, 1960 in Emporium she married John R. Sevinsky who died Sept. 11, 1978.
A resident of Emporium since 1969, Mrs. Sevinsky was a graduate of Brockway High School and Penn State University. She was employed as a teacher in Shippenville, and later in Brockway. After moving to Emporium, she was employed by the Cameron County School District as a teacher's aid in the high school until she retired in 1982. Mrs. Sevinsky was a member of St. Mark Church in Emporium.
She is survived by one son, John L. Sevinsky of Shrewsbury, Mass.; three grandchildren, Renee, Aidin and Olivia Sevinsky all at home; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sevinsky was predeceased by five brothers, Mark Sheley, Harold Sheley, Clifford Sheley, Paul Sheley and Jack Sheley, and one sister, Dorothy Moore.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Marks Church with Fr. Paul Siebert, pastor, as celebrant. Burial was in St. Tobias Cemetery, Brockway. A Wake Service was held Wed. at 6:45 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
