"Planting For Wildlife"

Penn State Cooperative Extension in cooperation with the North Central Forest Landowners Association, DCNR Bureau of Forestry, Weyerhaeuser Company, Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Penn State School of Forest Resources are providing a workshop specifically for private forest landowners and land managers to learn about planting food plots, tree and shrub planting, riparian wildlife planting, apple tree pruning for wildlife and more.

The planting for Wildlife Workshop will be at the State Game Lands #61 in Wrights, PA. on Sat. Aug. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come prepared to be outdoors all day rain or shine. Wear proper footgear for somewhat moderately paced hike on 5-15 percent slopes. We will be on a bus tour to other locations and forest lands in vicinity. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Space is limited, so call to reserve a spot. Participants must be preregistered.
