Library Set To Change Hours

On Tuesday, Sept. 5, The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library will resume its regular winter hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Weds. and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. These hours will remain in effect through May of 2007.

With the beginning of the Cameron County school year and students needing to access information for homework purposes from the Internet on the Library's public computers, parents are reminded that students under the age of 14 must have a parent, guardian or responsible adult with them when they use the Internet.

Students 16 years younger must have a parental consent form on file with the Library before they can use the Internet on the Library public computers.

If you have not yet read and signed the parental consent form you must visit the Library in person and fill out the form for your child. If you have already done this no further update is necessary.

Parents and guardians are asked to remember that students can only use the Internet for homework purposes. Access to such sites as Myspace.com, chat rooms, and interactive games is strictly forbidden. Students who are found to be using inappropriate websites will be prohibited from any further use of the public computers at the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library.

If you have any questions regarding student usage of the public computers at the public library, please call 486-8011 or stop in during our open hours.
