Flood Watch Issued For Area Wet weather isn't just putting a damper on the start of the long Labor Day weekend, it also has the potential to be dangerous. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Cameron County, in effect Saturday morning and continuing until Sunday. The Pa. Emergency Management Agency also issued a flood advisory on Friday afternoon, cautioning motorists who are heading toward central and southern Pennsylvania to check for local conditions and reconsider their travel plans. Those with basements prone to flooding should check sump pumps and otherwise be prepared for the anticipated high water runoff. |
