Michelle Harter from Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) discussed that public television service with members of Emporium Rotary at this week's meeting. She's shown with Program Chair Bill Olivett. PCN, headquartered in Camp Hill, is in its 27th year of bringing Pennsylvania news, sports, public affairs, history and entertainment to millions of TV viewers. It's fully funded by Pennsylvania cable companies and can be found on Channel 28 of the local Zito Media system. In other business, suggestions to improve Rotary's annual picnic better were discussed. Club members thanked all who supported the picnic, an important fund-raiser for some $4,000 in scholarships presented each year. Rotarians also acknowledged thanks from Christa Blose for her scholarship, and from Pa. Treasury Department's Judy Baker for the warm reception at the Rotary luncheon. Club members expressed their appreciation to Ron Luckenbill for his generosity.
