Canoe, Kayak Classic Theme Contest Underway

The 2007 Cameron County Canoe and Kayak Classic will be held on Saturday, April 7.

The Cameron County Canoe and Kayak Classic Race organization is already making plans for next year's event. They are seeking volunteers to help with the race and is asking for the community's help in developing an event theme which highlights northern Pennsylvania. The winner of the chosen theme will receive a $50 gift certificate to a Cameron County Business.

The organization wants to make the race bigger and better than ever in 2007 by attracting more participants and encourages anyone who is interested in the sport of paddling to contact the organization now. With lower water levels and higher water temperatures, late summer and early fall are the best times to learn and practice paddling.
