JH Team Opens With Win

The junior high Red Raider football team opened its season Thursday evening under coach John Fragale with a 36-6 win against Elk County Catholic. Cameron County held a 16-0 lead after one quarter and extended it to 28-0 at the half.

The hosts tacked on eight more points in the third period.

Elk CC scored a touchdown in the closing minutes after both benches were emptied.

Cameron County is back in action Thursday evening (6:00) at Smethport.
