Softball Battle Next Weekend

Slow-pitch softball players will continue a local tradition when they gather next weekend (Sept. 16-17) for the sixth annual "Battle of the Bars" tournament. Proceeds will benefit the Emporium Co-Ed Softball League.

Format will be either be 1-1 count or a one-pitch tournament, depending on turnout.

All players must be 21 or older. A double-elimination format will be used to determine the championship. Most co-ed league rules (including five men, five women lineups) will apply. Refreshments will be provided to all players.
