Lady Raider Golfers Do It Again!

Cameron County High School nailed down a second consecutive Penn-York Girls' Golf League title Tuesday afternoon with a 40-15 win over Smethport.

The Red Raiders then reinforced the point with a strong showing at Wednesday's Penn-York Invitational Tournament in Bradford. Jordan Thompson led the charge with a medal round of 49, one stroke ahead of Coudersport's Lindsey Francis. Bethany Dunsmore fired a 55, while Kaylee Harford and Brittany Lundberg each carded a 59.

"The girls have been playing very well lately," said Head Coach Pat Lewis. "Everyone on the team should be proud to have contributed during the season."

Thompson also took medalist honors in Tuesday's win with a 55. Whitney Lewis followed close behind with a 56, while the trio of Harford, Dunsmore and Lundberg all carded a 59.

Earlier in the week, the Red Raiders defeated Port Allegany, 38-16. Lewis and Thompson shared medalist honors with scores of 51.

Emporium Country Club plays host to the PIAA District 9 Championship Tournament on Monday afternoon.
