Women of the Bible to come alive Wednesday
Anita Gutschick, pictured below, will bring her onewoman show to the St. John's Lutheran Church in Emporium on Wednesday night.
Her dramatic presentation, entitled "Women of the Bible," has earned excellent reviews.
Gutschick use diverse voices and characteristics to portray notable women from the Old and New Testaments, through a series of monologues that shed light on their personal stories.
"This program started when someone said to me, 'Anita, the Bible was lived, not written'," Gutschick explained. "The Bible is full of stories about people's encounters with God. Through my show, I help the audience to experience some of these stories through the eyes of the women who lived them, thus glorifying God."
The program starts at 7:30.
