Mountaineer Search and Rescue Team caught the attention of the brave folks who attended the Emporium Fire Department's open house Tuesday. The group set up rappelling gear on the stretched out Tower 44 and gave demonstrations on rappelling descents. EVFD personnel and other emergency volunteers

gave the youngsters

tours of the equipment

and presented many other

demonstrations, including a

'stay low' obstacle course, and a hazardous materials decontamination presentation. More photos are on page 10.
