Christine Grovanz

Christine V. Grovanz, 93, of 436 Old W. Creek Rd., Emporium formerly of Rich Valley Rd. died at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys Thursday Oct. 12, 2006.

She was born June 3, 1913 in Latrobe, PA, a daughter of the late Peter and Rose DiMoro Grovanz.

Ms. Grovanz retired from Sylvania where she worked for many years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club and St. Mark Catholic Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed walking.

Surviving are two sisters, Rose Gentile of Ruselton; Josephine Haight of Ashtabula, OH; two brothers, Joseph and Peter F. Grovanz both of Emporium and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Grovanz was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Rose DiMoro Grovanz; four sisters, Jennie Yore, Kate Carnovale, Lottie Carlson and Theresa Young and two brothers, James Grovanz and Ralph Grovanz, Sr.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church with Rev. Paul S. Siebert as Celebrant.

Burial was in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery.
