Sinnemahoning Sportsmen Set Sights On 6,000 Members of the S i n n e m a h o n i n g Sportsmen's Assn. have set an ambitious goal to be achieved by February: 6,000 members. Kathy Fabin, membership chair, announced the goal at the group's monthly meeting on Sunday. She said current membership is 5,393, making the club one of Pennsylvania's biggest sportmen's organizations. Membership applications are available at Perry's Country Store, Austin; Backstreet Bar and Grill, Frenchville; and Fawn's One-Shot Gift Shop and Benton's Market in Karthaus. Members are collecting squirrel tails to benefit fish stocking at Curwensville Lake and the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. The tails can be dropped off in Karthaus at Fawn's, or at the club headquarters in Sinnemahoning. Block shoots will be held Oct. 28, Nov. 19 and Nov. 26 at the club, starting at noon. Rules for the annual Coyote Hunt (Feb. 16-18) are being compiled and will be announced. |
