Pastor Eastman Honored

Parishioners at Abundant Life Tabernacle paid tribute to their pastor recently as part of the national Clergy Appreciation Month observance.

"We want Pastor James Eastman to know how much he is appreciated," said a spokesman for the congregation. "He is zealous and is always there for us, willing to help those in need. His life is a model to us, in an out of church, because it reflects Jesus."

Clergy Appreciation Month began in 1993 as an effort to recognize ministers across the United States. Last year, an estimated 30,000 churches participated.
