Potter County license plate unveiled

Years ago, those green and yellow "Potter County: God's Country" bumper stickers could be seen far and wide, an effective advertisement sparking curiosity among potential tourists and an element of pride among the locals.

Decades later, the county's official tourist promotion agency has unveiled a similar promotional tactic: the Potter County License Plate.

A project of the Potter County Visitors Association, the plate will be available in December and is available for any state registered vehicle.

PCVA Executive Director David Brooks said his organization worked out the details with the Pa. Dept. of Transportation. Ordering details will be released in the coming weeks.
