Downtown Coudersport has a new nighttime hangout on East Second Street. It's "Rocky's Pool Hall." Owner Ralph Caldwell opened the business in the former Widmann's building, across from the courthouse square, out of his desire to provide a healthy and inexpensive source of entertainment. "We encourage a family atmosphere that some people don't always equate with a pool hall," Caldwell said. Foul language and smoking are prohibited. Caldwell - who chose the name "Rocky's" in reference to his nickname of many years ago - is always on the premises to supervise. Rocky's Pool Hall is open evenings from 6 to 10 Tuesday through Friday, and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
