Austin area news items Sportsmen busy East Fork Sportsmen's Club is opening its kitchen every Saturday during November. Soup, sandwiches and drinks will be available. East Fork Sportsmen are selling tickets for a Savage Model III 300 Winchester Mag Bear-Deer Rifle. Winning number will be determined by the Pa. Lottery drawing on Nov. 26. The club has slated Shotgun Block Shoots for Nov. 19 and Nov. 26. Supporting 'pride' Austin Community Pride Committee will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from noon to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at the firehall. Cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Proceeds will be used for the 2007 fireworks display. The committee has scheduled its annual Christmas Bazaar Nov. 12, at the firehall. Anyone wishing to set up a table should call 647-8947. In the community --School report cards for the first marking period will be issued on Tuesday, Nov. 7. --Austin fourth-graders have set their annual Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, Nov. 10, at the firehall. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. Proceeds will be used for a class trip to Pittsburgh. |
