Fourth-graders at Woodland Elementary School took the spirit of "Make a Diffence Day" to heart. The organized a canned and boxed food drive that collected 1,036 items for the local gfood pantry. The total was nearly double last year's donations. Mrs. Fragale's room took first place by collecting 126 cans. Each student in the class was awaqrded a gift certificate by Subway. Social studies classes emphasized the importance of charitable giving. Mathematics classes also featured the food drive as part of the students' lesson plan.
