Kathryn McCombie

Kathryn McCombie, 93, of 92 S. Wood Street, Emporium, died at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, Monday, Nov. 13, 2006.

She was born Feb. 21, 1913 in Weedville, a daughter of the late Celeste John Batiste and Marie Christine Gaiu Gontero.

Ms. McCombie graduated from the former Weedville High School. She retired from Sylvania where she worked for many years and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Carl (Nancy) McCombie of Lewistown; Lynn (Linda) McCombie of Driftwood; three grandchildren, Carla, Byron "Clip" and Michele, and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. McCombie was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service was held at the Barnett Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Simpson officiating.

Burial was in the Newton Cemetery, Shippen Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Cameron County Ambulance Association.
