Sportsmen nail down coyote plans

Plans for the annual Coyote Hunt were nailed down by Sinnemahoning Sportsmen's Assn. (SSA) members during Sunday's meeting.

Registration is now open for the Feb. 16-18 hunt, which covers Potter, Cameron, McKean, Elk, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton and Tioga counties. Hunters can register at the clubhouse in Sinnemahoning today and tomorrow, from noon to 4:00 p.m., and on the following days from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Jan. 13, Jan. 20, Jan. 27, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10. Entry fee is $6.00.

Participants must be SSA members. Membership information is available by calling 546-2835 or visiting the club's website, www.sinnsports.com. Applications are also available at Perry's Country Store in Austin.

Club membership currently stands at 5,400, with the club still hoping to reach the 6,000 milestone by February.

SSA has also announced that a huge oil painting of a bull elk now on display at the clubhouse will be awarded as part

of a fund-raiser tied to the Pa. Lottery drawing of Dec. 9. Tickets for the original painting by Driftwood's Al Sterner cost $5.00.
