The staff of the Family Center,
(from left) Holly Manginell, Jody Johnson, Kris Fapore, Annetta Horning and Carrie Burns, brought "Mr. Arnold Appletree and the critters from the Applebee Pond" to the Emporium Rotary meeting to present a puppet show on self-esteem. The agency also provides skits on social skills and the perils of drug and alcohol abuse. The program, which teaches children to make wise choices, is presented to preschoolers. Fapore, who was the program chairperson, thanked Mike Songer and Margaret Harris for the framing and curtains used for the skits. In other business, club members decided to discontinue the holiday season hot dog sales on the streets and thanked those who have supported the fund-raiser.
