Christian messages on air

Christian messages are being broadcasted to hundreds of Cameron County residents and others each weekday on a radio program airing at 9:00 a.m. on WLEMWQKY.

"Chapelaires" features area pastors who believe local Christians should hear God's word each day of the week, not just on Sundays. The Rev. Rock Pifer of the Cameron County Christian Center coordinates the program. Clergy members take turns presenting Bible lessons on a rotating schedule.

"This is all for Jesus," said Jeff Borden, associate pastor at Emporium Free Methodist Church. "In a world that seems to be unraveling at the seams and a society that seems enraptured with, 'What's in it for me?,' the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers us hope and a promise of peace."
