A multi-agency effort to make mammograms available to more women was recognized for excellence by the American Cancer Society.
That organization’s Silver Impact Award was presented to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Central Potter Health Center and Adagio Health for their “Healthy Women of Potter County Partnership.”
The Impact Awards recognize outstanding community cancer control strategies that improve the quality of life of cancer patients, caregivers and survivors.
The three organizations raised awareness of, and increased usage of, the Healthy Woman program and among Potter County women ages 40- 64. As a result, 40 women received free or low-cost mammograms.
