Jr. High wrestlers get started Lack of numbers was one of the biggest problems for the junior high wrestlers from Coudersport in a seasonopening 58-18 loss at Wellsboro. “It was a rough opening match for us,” said Falcon coach Joe Ayers. “We have several wrestlers out this week for various reasons, but those who were on the mat did well.” Kyle Taylor pinned his opponent at the 3:20 mark of the 165-lb. Then Joe Ayers took care of his 185-lb. foe in just 66 seconds. Nate Tucker (80) got a win by forfeit. “Our two new wrestlers (Clark and Tucker) show some great potential and our older wrestlers pulled the overall head to head win for us when you take out the forfeits,” Coach Ayers pointed out. Coudersport is back in action today at the Clarion Tournament. |
