Twin skills lead to new business

Jeff Borden
Emporium’s Jeff Borden has parlayed his long-time interest in photography into a new business.

Borden has spent the last several years honing his skills and acquiring equipment in hopes of eventually putting his abilities out for hire. Recently, he opened Jeff Borden Photography.

For now it’s a home studio, but Borden plans to move to a more spacious location soon. He is using the Internet to market his service through a website, www.jeffborden.net.

Borden sees his twin talents of photography and computer graphic design as a natural in this age of digital photography. Digital cameras have been a big seller during the Christmas

shopping season, but some amateurs are not equipped to maximize the use of their new equipment, he pointed out.

“My experience, coupled with the revolution of digital photography, give me hope for a successful business,” Borden said. “I love photography as an art form and I’m excited to be involved in it. We specialize in portraits, event photography, computer graphic design, posters, and more.”

Borden is also an associate pastor at the Cameron County Christian Center and a technical support supervisor with Time Warner Cable in Coudersport. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served in Lebanon and later attended Jimmy Swaggart Bible College in Louisiana.

Jeff Borden Photography can be reached at 486-1923.
