Mary Lewis

Mary Ellen Lewis, 84, of Gardeau, died Friday (Dec. 15, 2006) at her residence. Born Jan. 2, 1922 in Emporium, she was a daughter of Raymond Haskins. On Feb. 4, 1940, in Port Allegany, she married Frederick O. Lewis, who survives.

Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Diana L. Connelly of Gardeau; one son, William A. Lewis of Gardeau; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral and committal services were held with the Rev. John Baney, pastor of Keating Summit United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Newton Cemetery.
