Popular French teacher Randall Halter
returned to Coudersport for a visit recently, much to the delight of his many friends and former students who caught wind of the fact that he was in town. Halter, who arrived in Coudersport in the late 1960s and left after eight years, remains in the education field at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He’s a research associate for the Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance and is considered an authority in language arts. Halter’s last visit to Coudersport was in 1991. While he was in the area earlier this month, Halter couldn’t resist an invitation to play the organ at the First United Presbyterian Church, where he had performed for weddings and other services during his years in Coudersport. Halter welcomes communications from old friends by email at rhalter@alcor.concordia.ca.
