Community band for adults forming in Coudy

Coudersport Area High School’s instrumental music department is spearheading the formation of a community band for adults in the Coudersport and surrounding areas.

Practices will be held on the third Monday of each month in the school’s band room at from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Members will participate with the high school band in their concerts.

In addition, the music department will offer a steel drum ensemble for those who are interested in learning how to play this unique instrument from the Trinidad region. This group will meet on the fourth Monday of each month, also in the band room, from 6:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m.

Finally, the Coudersport Music Boosters are bringing back the Falcon Follies. This is a talent show for the entire Coudersport community. The Boosters are looking for acts from students through adults featuring music, comedy, magic or unique talent.
