Potter County Human Services head given pay raise, will stay
      Potter County Human Services Administrator Jim Kockler was granted a substantial pay raise, to an annual salary of $70,000, on Thursday. Commissioners Ken Wingo, John Torok and Catherine Bowers agreed to the new salary after weighing the expenses of recruiting a successor and other factors.

      Coudersport Area High School has announced is honor students for the second marking period of the 2006-07 school year. Students on the distinguished honor roll have an average of 95% or higher, while those on the honor roll have an average of at least 88%.

Chili event Sunday benefits local man
      Things were going well for Coudersport's Dale Saulter when he was suddenly diagnosed with brain cancer just before Christmas. The Saulter family has plenty of hope that Dale can beat the disease, based largely on a promising new medication that's very expensive and not covered by Saulter's health insurance.
