      Lucy Ann Yahnite, 86, of Somers Point, N. J., formerly of Emporium, died Monday (Feb. 5, 2007) at Meadowview Nursing Home. She was born March 9, 1920 in Driftwood, a daughter of the late John and Mary Farrell Riley. On Jan. 22, 1955 in Austin, she married Michael T. Yahnite.

      Donna M. Adair, 74, of Mt. Jewett, died Saturday (Feb. 3, 2007). Born Aug. 7, 1932, in Mt. Jewett, she was a daughter of Arthur and Evelyn Lantz Wallin. On April 17, 1954, at Nebo Chapel in Mt. Jewett, she married Donald Adair. Mrs. Adair had worked at Sylvania Corp. in Emporium and later for Hamlin Bank and Trust in Mt. Jewett, from which she retired.

      Frederick P. Palmer, 71, of Ford Road, died Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2007), at the Elk Regional Health Center. He was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Emporium, son of Richard E. and Martha Knight Palmer. On July 2, 1960, in the Queen of the World Church, he married Donna M. Schreiber.

      Lydia Hughes, 84, of Lynchburg, Va., formerly of Emporium, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at the Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was born on Oct. 31, 1922 in Narva, Estonia, a daughter of Gustav and Claudia Kuskus. Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband, Andrew Hughes of Virginia; one son, Ian Hughes of Texas; a daughter, Claudia (Robert) Chagnon of Virginia and their children, Michael and Rachel.
