'Family Fun Fair' Millport
      A Family Fun Fair will be held Saturday at the Potter County Fairgrounds in Millport from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities and services are geared toward children up to age 10. Refreshments, games, giveaways, and activities are all free. There will be a dunking booth, pony rides, clowns and other entertainment.

Workshops set on GPS, Geocaching
      Potter County Education Council is offering a GPS/ Geocaching workshop at each of its offices, located in Coudersport, Port Allegany and Galeton. Participants will learn how to use a GPS unit to navigate to a local geocache and how to create their own caches and enter them on the Internet for others to locate.

Fatal car crash on Rt. 872
      A Potter County man died Thursday evening when his car veered off Rt. 872, between Austin and Coudersport, and smashed into a tree. The victim, 44- year-old William Brown of Galeton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
