Over the past decade, pediatricians serving Potter, Cameron and McKean counties have witnessed an increase in the number of children and adolescents who are overweight. She was killed in a onevehicle Thursday night on the Cresson-Loretta Road. A St. Francis University freshman, Harford was a back seat passenger. An Emporium teenager charged with burglarizing Fansteel AST in the borough was sentenced to a jail term and ordered to pay a fine and restitution. Members of the Cameron County Area Board of Education settled a controversy over staffing to meet state requirements for "English as a second language" (ESL) instruction after a lengthy debate at this month's meeting.
