No stopping Cameron County!
      There appears to be no stopping Cameron County now. The Red Raiders took another step toward an Allegheny Mountain Football League North Division crown last week, rolling up a gawdy 53 first-half points on their way to a 59-22 shellacking of a feckless Curwensville squad.

Mission adjusted: Falcons roll, 33-7
      After a "mission adjustment" the previous week, Coudersport's football team went back to work Saturday night, rolling over Elk County Catholic, 33-7. With the loss to Cameron County effectively eliminating a third straight Allegheny Mountain League, the Falcons now focus on another PIAA District 9 crown and a return trip to the state playoffs.

Coudersport remains perfect in volleyball
      Coach Greg Stone's Coudersport Falcons entered the season with experience and confidence. So it's no surprise that they're one of the Northern Tier League powers. Coudy knocked off Northern Potter in three straight Thursday night to improve to 7-0, including a 6- 0 NTL mark.

Falcon soccer team showing improvement
      Youth and inexperience have made the 2007 high school soccer season a learning experience for Coudersport. Most of the games have been close and the experience gained by a squad that consists largely of underclassmen bodes well for 2008 and beyond.

For CHS, CCHS jr. high, JV teams fours are wild
      What are the odds that two football teams from the same school would win their games by identical scores in the same week? Cameron County's junior high squad improved to 4-0 with a 44-0 drubbing of visiting Coudersport Thursday night. The Red Raiders jumped out to a 36-0 lead before halftime.

Giannotti leads Falcons
      Coudersport's cross country runners are preparing for some rugged competition ahead, including the PIAA District 9 Meet. On Tuesday, sophomore Emily Giannotti ran away with first place in the girls' division against visiting Oswayo Valley. Her time of 19:58 was more than two minutes faster than the first runner-up.

Girls' golfers head to D9 tourney
      Senior Lindsey Francis leads the Coudersport High School girls' golf team into Monday's PIAA District 9 Tournament. Francis, returning Penn-York League co-MVP, was the medalist in the Falcons' 27-27 tie against Smethport on the back nine of the Coudersport Golf Club on Monday.

      Falcon golfers finish 8-4 Coudersport closed out the boys' high school golf season with an 8-4 Penn-York League record. The Falcons split a lateseasonmatch with Port Allegany and Oswayo Valley. Matt Jolley shot a 47 and John Hau a 48 to lead them to a 33-22 win over Port Allegany. Medalist Brandon Slater led OV over the Falcons, 37-18.
