Undefeated Red Raiders shoot for league, D9 titles
      Cameron County warmed up for the tougher high school football challenges to come with a lopsided laugher at Johnsonburg last weekend. On Friday, the Red Raiders travel to Kane in a clash of two 9-0 teams battling for the Allegheny Mountain League championship. Opening kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Falcons await football foe
      Coudersport is reeling from the one-two punch of the Allegheny Mountain Football League's twin titans, but the Falcons (7-2) are still alive as they set out to defend their back-to-back PIAA District 9 championships. They'll open the playoffs next weekend at CARP Field. With a win, they'll move into the D9 semifinals. A loss means elimination.

Coudersport gets sweet revenge
      Thursday night's win on the home floor was especially pleasing to Coudersport volleyball coach Greg Stone. Most importantly, it kept his Falcons alive in the PIAA District 9 playoffs. Additionally, it was a measure of revenge against a Port Allegany team that dealt Coudersport (16-1) its only Northern Tier League loss of the season two weeks earlier on the same court.

Raider Jr. High team unbeaten
      Cameron County should be able to continue its outstanding varsity football success for many years to come, based on the performance of this year's junior high and junior varsity squads. The Red Raiders polished off an 8-0 season last week with a 42-14 win over visiting Ridgway. Quarterback Jason Blose fired four touchdown passes, two of them to Jason Shaw.
