Beverly Whitney Beverly A. Whitney, 67, of Austin, died Friday (Nov. 23, 2007) at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. The Rev. Randy Headley officiated at a funeral service. Burial was in Williams-McFall Cemetery in Conrad. Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Memorial Cancer Institute or to the Austin Volunteer Ambulance Association. Vern Howard Vernon E. "Vern" Howard, 89, of Coudersport, died Sunday (Nov. 25, 2007). The Rev. Robert G. Achey, pastor of Bell Run Union Church, will officiate at a funeral service on Saturday, Dec. 1, 11 a.m., at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bell Run Community Club. Anna May Bankert Anna May Kooch Bankert, of Jersey Shore, formerly of Coudersport, died on Tuesday (Nov. 20, 2007). A commital service was held with Father John Murphy of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Port Allegany, officiating. Interment followed at Sweden Hill Cemetery. Britton, 70, of Emporium, died Thursday (Nov. 22, 2007) in Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Dwight Simpson officiating. Burial was in Newton Cemetery. Harold Ditty Harold "Bob" Ditty, 96, of Pottersdale died Tuesday (Nov. 20, 2007). Among the survivors is a daughter, Hazel Ellenberger of Emporium. Pastor Hiriam Westover officiated at a funeral service. Miles Bender Miles LeRoy Bender, 70, Falls Creek, died Saturday (Nov. 20, 2007) at DuBois Regional Medical Center West. Mr. Bender was a 1955 graduate of Cameron County High School. The Rev. Mike Shingler officiated at a funeral service. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 111 N.
