Alan Ramsey (left), president of Werzalit of America, spoke to Emporium Rotary members about that German-owned company's vibrant plant in McKean County. Werzalit has found a niche for marketing wood composites manufactured at its factory in Bradford. Most of its products are for used for furniture & siding. Ramsey said Werzalit will be expanding its line and adding about 10 jobs in Bradford, where it currently employs 55. He was welcomed by Rotary Program Chair Ron Luckenbill (right). Guests at the meeting were Deanie Johnson Russell and Cathy Straub, who gave the club a copy of the 2007 4-H calendar spotlighting Rotary's dictionary project for the month of January. Members also approved $50 donations to the Hutton Memorial Race and the Cameron County Community Chest. They were also informed that the club has joined forces with the VFW and the American Legion to sell chances on a quilt produced by Jackie Rusnak as a fund-raiser for the World War II monument.
