Emporium again named a 'Tree City'

Emporium Borough has once again qualified for the Tree City USA designation, which recognizes communities that place a high priority on the preservation and nurturing of trees.

The announcement was made in the annual report of the Emporium Shade Tree Commission.

Commission members expressed their appreciation to the caretakers of the Emporium Foundation for that organization's continuing support, and to John Sidelinger from the Pa. Bureau of Forestry, as well as Emporium Borough.
