Lawrence W. Caldwell
Lawrence W. "Bill" Caldwell, 72, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Emporium, died at the Veterans Hospital in Houston on Dec. 21, 2006.
He was born Jan. 8, 1934 in Lumber City, a son of Lawrence V. and Catherine M. Hornung Caldwell.
On March 25, 1955 in St. Mark Catholic Church, he married Patricia L. Gribble Caldwell, who survives.
Mr. Caldwell graduated from Cameron County High School and served with the U.S .Army during the Korean Conflict. In recent years he was the owner of Caldwell Professional Home Services Inc., specializing in custom home construction. He was a active member of the American Legion, where he was serving as a division commander. He was also an active member of the VFW in Houston.
Surviving in addition to his wife are six sons, Raymond Caldwell, Potter, N.Y.; Lawrence Caldwell, Houston; John Caldwell, Emporium; Robert Caldwell, Newport, N.C.; Bradley and Timothy Caldwell, both of Lansing, Mich.; one daughter, Corinne Ann, Naples, N.Y.; several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Marie LaBrozzi, Lucille Caggiso and Dorothy Jean Berry; and twin brothers, Joe and Fred Caldwell, both of Emporium.
Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Clara Rinehuls.
Burial was in the Veterans National Cemetery, Houston.
