Twins were recognized as the first babies born at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys. Lincoln John Azzato and Adyson Noel Azzato arrived at 8:35 a.m. on Jan. 3 to Jesse J. and Michelle K. Azzato of St. Marys, formerly of Emporium. Grandparents are John V. and Jean Azzato Jr. and Denny and Katy Cashmer. The twins join two brothers, Kael and Hunter, and a sister, Kyra.

Bailey Lynn Rupert arrived on Jan. 4 as the 2007 New Year's Baby at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. She's the daughter of Rhonda K. Rupert of Port Allegany and weighed seven pounds, 3.4 ounces. She joins a brother, Bryce O'Brien, 10. Linda Ricklefs and Ron Rupert Sr., both of Port Allegany, are the baby's grandparents. Virginia Stebick of Keating Summit is the baby's great-grandmother.

Joe and Amanda Margeson of Emporium are parents of a son born Dec. 23, 2006 at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. The baby weighed eight pounds, nine ounces and has been named Michael James Margeson. He joins a brother, Ian and a sister, Lia. Grandparents are Diane and Ed Bolin of Emporium and Nancy and Bill Walsh of Olean, N.Y. Great grandmothers are Helen Metz of Emporium and Millie Margeson of Scio, N.Y.

A daughter was born December 24, 2006 a Charles Cole Memorial Hospital to Nicole Reid and Robert Long of Sterling Run. Karlee Grace Reid weighed six pounds, 12 ounces and joins a brother, Cory Long, and three sisters, Kelsee Reid, Kaylie Long and Kristen Dinger. Maternal grandparents are Michael Reid and Kimberley McBride, both of Emporium. Deb Main of Jamestown is the paternal grandmother. Great grandparents are Charles and Stella Nellis and John and Linda Reid, all of Emporium, and Glen and Marge Lyons of Truman.
