The Bureau of State Parks will invest millions of dollars in one of the region's biggest tourist attractions, the Kinzua Bridge State Park. Work begins this year to improve public access to the remains of the world-famous Kinzua Viaduct, including access to the massive towers that fell into the valley below when a powerful tornado struck the bridge in 2003. Later, a visitors' center with historical exhibits and other improvements will be made to the park itself. The Knox, Kane and Kinzua excursion train that used to take visitors to the bridge is no longer in operation. | | Endeavor File Photo / Laurie Garrigan |
