Lucy Ann Yahnite

Lucy Ann Yahnite, 86, of Somers Point, N. J., formerly of Emporium, died Monday (Feb. 5, 2007) at Meadowview Nursing Home.

She was born March 9, 1920 in Driftwood, a daughter of the late John and Mary Farrell Riley. On Jan. 22, 1955 in Austin, she married Michael T. Yahnite.

Mrs. Yahnite graduated from Emporium High School. Her family owned the former Commercial Hotel in Driftwood. She had a love for all animals.

Surviving are one daughter, Caroline (David) Newman, of New Jersey; two sons, John and Robert Yahnite, both of New Jersey; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Kate Riley Newman.

Mrs. Yahnite was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mark Catholic Church with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, as celebrant.

Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Shippen Township.
