Donna Adair

Donna M. Adair, 74, of Mt. Jewett, died Saturday (Feb. 3, 2007).

Born Aug. 7, 1932, in Mt. Jewett, she was a daughter of Arthur and Evelyn Lantz Wallin. On April 17, 1954, at Nebo Chapel in Mt. Jewett, she married Donald Adair.

Mrs. Adair had worked at Sylvania Corp. in Emporium and later for Hamlin Bank and Trust in Mt. Jewett, from which she retired.

She was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Jewett High School and a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She also was a volunteer librarian at the Mt. Jewett Memorial Library.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Dori (Keith) Johnson of Tennessee and Debbie (Joe) Tantalo of Mt. Jewett; four grandchildren; a sister, June (James) Morgan of Lantz Corners; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Duane and Gene Wallin, and a sister, Joyce Swanson.

Funeral services were held at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Mt. Jewett, with the Rev. V. Theodore Bensen, officiating.

Burial was in Nebo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the McKean County VNA, American Cancer Society or St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
