Parade of Stars set for tonight

Performers are lined up for Saturday night's annual "Parade of Stars," an entertainment event that showcases local talent while raising funds for the Cameron County Fair Assn. Scholarship Fund.

Tonight's show, scheduled for 7:00 at the Cameron County High School auditorium, will feature comedian Chris Haas from Comic Relief, as well as singers, instrumentalists and dancers.

The Singing Dutchmen will kick things off, followed by a performance by Emporium's award-winning Ultimate Cheer group. Essence of Motion Dance Studio will perform ballet, tap and modern dance.

Guitarist Glenn Lucas and Amanda Pries will offer musical selections. Also scheduled to perform are Betty Franceus, Cassandra Lyon, Heather and Holly Lyon, Pat Kempher, Harry Mansfield, Kayela Spehalski, Kelly Bennett and Brandy Overly.

The fair association is sponsoring the Parade of Stars in cooperation with the Cameron County Recreation Board. Advance tickets are available for $2.50 at Lundgren's Pharmacy and Reid's Hometown Emporium. Tickets purchased at the door will cost $3.00.
