Evelyn Larson

Evelyn Mae Larson, 91, of Smethport, died Friday (Feb. 23, 2007) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 29, 1915, in Belfast, N.Y., a daughter of Russell and Lula Henyan Almony. On Aug. 21, 1934, in Smethport, she married Paul C. Larson, who died Feb. 15, 1987.

Mrs. Larson was a graduate of Smethport High School and was employed by GTE Sylvania of Emporium, where she retired in 1977.

She is survived by two daughters, Marlene L. Zetwick of Ashtabula, Ohio and Susan McCraken of Crosby; three sons, Charles E. Larson of Conneaut, Ohio, Gary R. Larson of Ashtabula and Larry L. Larson of Smethport; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Sturgess in Calif. and Lucille Stravino in N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Thomas M. Larson; two brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services were held in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Smethport, where the Rev. Randall Headley, pastor of the Crosby United Methodist Church, officiated.

Burial was in the Norwich Cemetery, Colegrove.

Memorials may be made to the Norwich Township Volunteer Fire Department, Crosby, or to the Crosby United Methodist Church.
