Pa. game agency watchful for deadly CWD in deer, elk
      There's a disease lurking out there that has the potential to decimate the state's deer and elk populations. So far, chronic wasting disease (CWD) is not a problem in the state, but because its consequences could be so devastating, the Pa. Game Commission is bracing itself for an outbreak.

Sportsmen review coyote hunt results
      Sinnemahoning Sportsmen's Assn. members reviewed the results of the recent Coyote Hunt and began making plans for an even bigger event in February 2008. Larry Erickson, who chaired the event, reported that 458 hunters registered this year and a push will be made to build on that figure in 2008.

PGC second spring gobbler tags on sale
      Pennsylvania hunters may now apply for a second spring gobbler tag. Fees are $21 for Pennsylvanians and $41 for non-residents. The application period closes on April 1 for the April 28 to May 26 season. Hunters are able to take one spring gobbler as part of their general hunting privileges.
