Emporium Methodists marking 150 years

A celebration of 150 years of ministry and mission will be celebrated by Emporium's First United Methodist Church next month.

The pastor and congregation invite the community to join in the event on Sunday, March 18. It begins with Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. and ends with a musical program for the community starting at 7:00 p.m.

In between, there will be worship, fellowship, food, fun, sealing of a time capsule, children's programs, an open house for viewing church history and greeting former pastors.

Church members have created a display in the window of the former video store in Emporium, next to Lundberg's Pharmacy. Further details on the March 18 celebration will be posted there.
