 | | Employees at the McDonald's restaurant in Coudersport evacuated the business Saturday morning at about 11:30 after a fire that broke out in a rooftop air intake unit funneled smoke into the restaurant. Members of the Coudersport Volunteer Fire Dept. were on the scene in minutes, extinguishing the fire that was traced to an electrical malfunction. Damage was estimated at about $400 to the equipment itself. The quick response prevented additional damage from the smoke. Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Assn. personnel and Fire Police were on the scene to assure the safety of the employees and re-route traffic from South Main St./U.S. Rt. for a period of about 40 minutes. There were no injuries. |
